Bagula Bhagat Story In Hindi (बगुला भगत – पंचतंत्र की कहानी):
एक वन प्रदेश में एक बहुत बड़ा तालाब था। उसमें तरह-तरह के जीव-जन्तु रहते थे, जिनमें मछलियाँ, कछुए, केकड़े, बत्तखें, सारस आदि थे। पास में ही एक बगुला रहता था, जो आलसी और धूर्त था। वह बिना मेहनत किए खाना चाहता था, इसलिए उसने एक चाल चली।
एक दिन, बगुला तालाब के किनारे खड़ा होकर रोने लगा। एक केकड़ा ने उसे रोते देखा तो पूछा, “मामा, तुम क्यों रो रहे हो?”
बगुले ने कहा, “मैंने अब मछलियों का शिकार करना छोड़ दिया है। मुझे यह पाप लगता है। मैं आत्मज्ञान प्राप्त कर चुका हूँ। इसलिए मैं निकट आई मछलियों को भी नहीं पकड़ रहा हूँ।”
केकड़े ने कहा, “अगर तुमने मछलियों का शिकार करना छोड़ दिया है, तो तुम क्या खाओगे?”
बगुले ने कहा, “इसका कोई डर नहीं है। मुझे पता है कि जल्द ही यहां बारह वर्ष का सूखा पड़ने वाला है। उस समय सभी जीव-जन्तु मर जाएंगे। इसलिए मैं अभी से आत्मिक अभ्यास कर रहा हूँ।”
केकड़े ने यह बात सभी जीव-जन्तुओं को बताई। सभी जीव-जन्तु बगुले के पास गए और उसे बताया कि वे भी सूखे से बचना चाहते हैं। बगुले ने उन्हें बताया कि एक जलाशय है जहाँ वे जा सकते हैं। वह उन्हें अपनी पीठ पर बिठाकर वहाँ ले जा सकता है।
सभी जीव-जन्तु बगुले की बातों में आ गए। बगुला उन्हें एक-एक करके अपनी पीठ पर बिठाकर ले जाता और उन्हें चट्टान के पास ले जाकर पटक देता। वह उन्हें मारकर खा जाता।
एक दिन, केकड़े की बारी आई। जब वह चट्टान के पास पहुँचा तो उसने वहां हड्डियों का ढेर देखा। वह समझ गया कि बगुला ने उसे धोखा दिया है। उसने बगुले की गर्दन पकड़कर उसे मार डाला।
केकड़े ने सभी जीव-जन्तुओं को बताया कि बगुला ने उन्हें धोखा दिया था। सभी जीव-जन्तु बगुले की मृत्यु से खुश हुए।

- कठिन परिस्थिति में भी अपना आपा नहीं खोना चाहिए।
Bagula Bhagat Story In English
Once upon a time, in a dense forest, there was a large pond. It was home to a variety of aquatic creatures, including fish, turtles, crabs, ducks, and geese. A heron lived nearby, who was lazy and cunning. He wanted to eat without working hard, so he came up with a plan.
One day, the heron stood on the bank of the pond and started crying. A crab saw him crying and asked, “Uncle, why are you crying?”
The heron said, “I have given up hunting fish. I feel guilty about it. I have attained spiritual enlightenment. That’s why I’m not catching even the fish that come close to me.”
The crab said, “If you have given up hunting fish, what will you eat?”
The heron said, “Don’t worry about that. I know that there will be a twelve-year drought here soon. All the creatures will die then. That’s why I am practicing spirituality now.”
The crab told this to all the other creatures. All the creatures went to the heron and told him that they also wanted to avoid the drought. The heron told them about a reservoir where they could go. He could take them there on his back.
All the creatures believed the heron’s words. The heron took them one by one on his back and flew them to the reservoir. He would drop them on a rock near the reservoir and kill them. He would eat them after killing them.
One day, it was the crab’s turn. When he reached the rock, he saw a pile of bones there. He realized that the heron had deceived him. He grabbed the heron’s neck and killed him.
The crab went back to the pond and told all the other creatures that the heron had deceived them. All the creatures were happy about the heron’s death.
Moral of the story
- Do not trust blindly in the words of others.
- Do not lose your temper even in difficult situations.
